News from Lyoko – 11th February 2025

Immudelki has announced that work is underway on the script for chapters 7 through 10 of the IFSCL story mode. The work is being done in a slightly different way, as the author has decided that he prefers to do it in bulk, instead of tackling the entirety of one chapter at a time. This is to streamline operations so that there is less work to do later. In this way, the dates for the appearance of more chapters in the new parts of the simulator will be more concrete.

Immudelki also announced that a booth dedicated to IFSCL will appear on April 4 and 5 at a fantasy convention in Paris. It will be held at the site where a factory well known from the series once stood.

On Saturday, January 18, the first script reading of the new episode of the radio play “Code Lyoko : Frontières Virtuelles” took place. This means that it will soon be possible to start recording individual lines of dialogue.

The first season of the series appeared on the streaming service TF1+, owned by the private station TF1. This is interesting because CL premiered on France 3, the public competition for the private “One”. The TF1+ service is free in it’s basic version, but requires an account. More seasons will probably appear in some time.

A few days ago, a photo from the protests in Serbia appeared on Reddit.

The photo comes from Novi Sad in Serbia, where protests have been ongoing since December following a construction disaster at the train station in which 15 people died. The public, especially students, are outraged by the fact that no one has been held accountable, despite clear evidence of misconduct reaching the highest levels of government.

Bridges are being blocked, more demonstrations are being organized, and repression of protesters is also beginning. Added to this is the problem of underinvestment in universities and the general style of politics in Serbia. The strikes have already led to the resignation of Prime Minister Milos Vucević.

Among current students in Serbia, there is a sizable group of people for whom Lyoko is a generational experience.

When the series aired on local television, it was very popular. “AV” in the middle of the Xana sign is the initials of Aleksandar Vucic, the president of Serbia. Demonstrators are demanding his resignation.

And now we are returning to a certain tradition that we had to abandon for a while for technical reasons.
