[APRIL FOOLS JOKE] News from Lyoko – Saturday, 1st April 2023

Work has begun at the Lycée Lakanal to convert one floor in the building into a museum. It will be dedicated to Code Lyoko. Visitors will be able to see, among other things, licensed figurines, books, a unique sketch of Jeremy depicted in Lyoko, replicated rooms of the main characters, and even visit an exact replica of the laboratory.

The Lycée Lakanal administration assures that it will be possible to enter the scanners, and although tourists will not be transferred to Lyoko, they can expect a surprise. Unfortunately, they don’t want to reveal details about what exactly is involved.

Work is expected to be completed before the summer of 2024. The entire project will be funded by the French Ministry of Culture and Heritage.

- "I am very pleased that the program of great renovations of French schools is starting at the renowned Lakanaal Lycée," Pap Ndiaye, French Minister of National Education, said in an interview with the newspaper Le Figaro. - This school not only educates future students who go on to the most prestigious universities, such as Science Po and La Sorbonne, but is also a symbol in pop culture, as evidenced by the "Code Lyoko" series. This year marks the 20th anniversary of its premiere, so it is a good idea for the school administration to commemorate this outstanding French animation.

Centrum Lyoko, as the largest association of fans in Poland, was invited to the opening and for this reason we are going to organize a trip to Paris. You can find details here: https://www.citescolairelakanal.fr/musee-de-la-serie-code-lyoko
