List of Code Lyoko games

If you’re a fan of CL, I’m more than likely able to come up with a thesis that at least once you’ve wanted to play a game in which you meet Jeremy, or the rest of the Lyoko Warriors pack. I’ve gathered some titles into one list, which I present to you here. There will be a lot of fan productions, a few official games, and oh dear (or how nostalgic) – flash games. There will also be Pokemons.

Fan Games

IFSCL

  • Author: Immudelki

    • IFSCL, Simulated Fictional Interfaces of Code Lyoko is one of the oldest and most widely known fan games in the CL world. Developed to this day, it has expanded to the measure of a very serious project. The game is a supercomputer simulator in which, as Jeremy, we manage the machine by entering commands. From this level we also fight with Xana and try to eliminate the effects of enemy attacks. The game has expanded significantly over the past few years, introducing a story mode with a 3D world, an original soundtrack and new dubbing for cutscenes. Adding the fact that the game is available in multiple languages, this is an absolute must have for Code Lyoko fans.

MRCL

    • MRCL, Minecraft Replica of Code Lyoko is a server running in the game Minecraft, which aims to faithfully recreate the world of Code Lyoko. The server will allow us to visit a plot-compatible Kadic and factory, and if we feel like fighting – we can go to the virtual world of Lyoko, its replicas or Cortex. Different character classes are made available, each with different weapons and powers. There are a variety of mechanics such as Xana attacks, working towers, and warrior vehicles. The project is developed by a team that creates its own models, animations, sound effects: the world resembles CL as much as possible. Access to the server requires a prior visit to the MRCL Discord server.

  • Description:
    • A project to recreate the world of Code Lyoko, this time in Roblox. The game allows us to create our own character, whose appearance will be separate for the real world, the virtual world, and the virtual world under xanyfication. We can choose the class of our character in which we will define whether we want to fight at close quarters or at a distance. The game is multiplayer and allows us to explore Kadic, five sectors and even the digital sea.

Can You Keep a Secret?

    • We start the game lost in the Hermitage, we don’t know how we got here or what we are doing here. The atmosphere is gloomy verging on nightmare elements: the colors are dark, the music is serious and Aelita has bad waking dreams. We move around the world with the hero of our choice from the pack of Lyoko Warriors, and we can change it at any time, which is important – the choice allows some objects important for further progress to appear. The game is characterized by small logic puzzles and a typical vibe for productions made in RPG Maker.
    • For the curious: the game is made in RPG Maker MV, and basically any person interested in gamedev can try working with this kind of project.

Code Lyoko: RDT

    • A game being developed by two students, which at the same time is their first publicly released game ever. The project aims to create a three-dimensional world of Code Lyoko whose main feature would be addictive combat mechanics, recreating the atmosphere of CL as we know it. The authors believe they still have a lot of work to do, but they can already boast a game with dynamic animations, good graphics and interesting gameplay. The plot sets us in the events after Evolution: Tyron has returned and we have to face him.

CODE LYOKO: EXPEDITION DEMO

    • The project is a mod trying to make a 3D platformer set in the virtual world of Lyoko. The mod has four levels, custom models, music and is dubbed. It supports Coop. The plot is relatively simple: you wake up as Aelita in the forest sector and travel through Lyoko fighting Xana’s monsters and finding Franz Hopper’s voice recordings.

Pokemon Re:Union DX

    • A fan-made game set in the world of Pokemon created on the RPG Maker XP engine. In the game, we take on the role of Red, who travels through the multiverse by, among other things, ending up in the world of Code Lyoko. CL is just an episode for 20-30 minutes of fun, it’s still nice to see an easter egg and fight Xana’s monsters though: this time using Pokemons.

Code Lyoko: War of Xana

    • Three-dimensional platformer with simple graphics. The game doesn’t have much of a plot: we play as Aelita, who, flying over sectors, fights Xana’s monsters and deactivates towers. We do not have the ability to walk and the entire gameplay is played by flying, which makes the game unique in the field of others and is a cool yet challenging treat.

    • Now it’s time for something from the RTS genre. A little known and very old fan strategy game in which controlling Lyoko Warriors as well as XANA monsters we perform various missions such as defending the tower, destroying the simulation bubble or possessing Aelita with Scyphozoa. Old-school graphics and a GUI straight out of Red Alert II give a good retro vibe.

Here you will find 5 sectors, a bonus sector, quests with rewards and really very nice views. There’s plenty to explore, and what’s more: the map was created for multiplayer gaming. You can confidently play it in good company! The map is available in Polish.

VR Chat

    • VR Chat is a virtual reality meeting platform, it supports VR devices such as body motion controllers and goggles, but we can easily launch the game on a keyboard and mouse. The game provides many different worlds in which we can travel, among them will be a small map with a factory as well as a tower from Lyoko.

Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity

    • The game is a combination of Visual Novel mode in the real world and a 3D platformer in the virtual world. Each character has different skills that come in handy when solving puzzles and traps. The game’s action takes place during the fourth season: Jeremy has finished building Skidbladnir and together with his team discovers that Xana has a whole bunch of replicas. Our task is no different from that of the heroes from the last season of CL: we fight Xana and participate in Kadic’s school life.

Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A.

  • Description:
    • The game from the same developer from the hands of which came out Quest of Infinity, the plot is also very similar. The action takes place in the fourth season, we fight Xana and try to destroy his replicas. The difference, however, is the style of combat, as we are dealing with a turn-based system with a characteristic jRPG style. The game provides a multiplayer mode in which we can face other players. Although the plot is similar to Quest of Infinity, it is not its continuation.

Code Lyoko: Get Ready to Virtualize

  • Description:
    • The largest official Code Lyoko game created so far. The plot sets us in seasons 1-2 recreating the familiar TV episodes. The game tries to recreate the atmosphere of CL: in the real world we have a 2D RPG in which we can travel throughout Kadic, in the virtual world we have a 3D platformer in which we fight monsters and solve small puzzles.

Flash Games

We arrive at the list of Flash technology games. Many of you may not remember Flash anymore, it’s an old technology that allowed you to run games through your browser, among other things. Flash has long been retired, and it’s only thanks to plug-ins like Rufus that you can still use it.


Monster Swarm

    • A small platformer in which we control Yumi to force our way through hosts of monsters until we reach the tower. We can inflict kicks as well as throw a fan.

    • Space Invaders in the version for CL. We control Odd with whom we have the task of knocking down as many hornets as possible without devirtualization. The more hornets we knock down the more points we gain.

France 3 Game

    • A maze game in which, having a time limit, we have to find Aelita and lead her to the tower. On the way we try to catch white and pink objects that give us more time and avoid red and black objects that make the game more difficult.
