News from Lyoko – 21st July 2025

Hello,

A new project has recently appeared on the Internet, manga called “Almost Gods”. Its action takes place 15 years after the events of the fourth season. Despite the passage of this time, memories of the years of fighting Xana are still present in the Lyoko Warriors. In addition, supernatural things happen that will cause the pack to come together again. So far, the first part of the story has been published. It can be viewed here.

A compilation of the first five episodes of Code Lyoko has appeared on the official French YouTube channel. There’s no full opening, just the storyboards, and subtitles at the end of the video. The previous material on this channel appeared in September 2024. It is interesting to note that the compilation is not marked as for children, which means that the comments have not been disabled.

Julien Lamassonne, the performer of “Un monde sans danger,” once again sang the song, this time with a lot of support from the audience, at the Japan Tours Festival 2025. The event was held in France during the last weekend of June.

Immudelki announced that he has made new entries in the changelog, covering the next 5 years of work on IFSCL. Those changes that are not necessary to be implemented already in the coming versions have been postponed. Chapter 8 will be in the works for version 48X, but it is uncertain whether it will be completed or only partially done.

Immudelki gave an extensive, approximately 5-hour interview on Twitch on July 12. It was conducted in French, and the whole thing can be seen here.

A trailer for the fan-made feature-length movie “Code Lyoko: A Second Chance” has appeared. Its release is scheduled for July.

The team behind Code Lyoko : Frontières Virtuelles has announced that the first two episodes are almost completely recorded, and the first episode is almost half-mixed. The premiere of these episodes is expected to take place next summer. We don’t yet know plot details, but we do know that the writer of the script for the third episode is one of the former French fan fiction authors.

French television station J-One has ended the broadcast of the series. The last episodes of the fourth series were shown on Saturday, July 5. The channel chose not to air Evolution.
