Hello, today we have news exceptionally, and that’s because we found out something very special that a large part of our fan community has probably been waiting for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At 8pm, an interview appeared on a channel on YT started by Jos\u00e9 Tistazo of the EITB<\/s> \u201cVillabona Irratia\u201d station, which broadcasts in the Basque Country (an autonomous part of Spain). It was given by Sophie Decroisette and Jerome Mouscadet, the main writers of the series. We will probably write about the full interview on October 30, but today we will present the highlight thread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The question was raised as to whether the series would ever return. Here is the answer that was received:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sophie: “We’re working on that”
[\u2026]
J\u00e9r\u00f4me: “Maybe something in the pipeline (main story?)\u2026, we’re discussing it. [\u2026] I hope it’ll be more precise in one or two months”

Sophie: “Sadly it takes time to coordinate, direct and produce a show, but it’s a matter of rights, who has the rights, how to finance it\u2026 but we’re in the way, and J\u00e9r\u00f4me works hard on it, and everybody will be very happy to work back in Code Lyoko”

J\u00e9r\u00f4me: “It’s a really good question, because it’s a risk for us, we already made such a good success, so why would we make anything new? And on top of it, what would be interesting to tell now, in this show?”

Sophie: “My kids thought about it, and asked, what would be the new show of Code Lyoko? Would it be a backstory? Or will they have grown up and be in college? We don’t know yet”
J\u00e9r\u00f4me: “The adventure begins!”

Sophie: “I think we’d keep the character as we know them, and they won’t be 20 or 25, married and with kids, hah! So we’re still trying to see how to continue the story, how to make it fun and how to keep it connected to nowadays technology, because technology isn’t like it was back then”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
